FINDING A COMIC BOOK STORE NEAR YOU
Many newsstands, book stores, convenience stores, and supermarkets carry comic books. However, most of the comic book series currently being published aren't available at these places. Comic book stores carry a far broader range of comics, and also have back issues, graphic novels,
collectors supplies, and more.
Your local comic book store may be closer than you think. There are thousands of them, all across the country. I've been in comic book stores everywhere from Florida to Alaska. There are three good ways of finding one near you:
- Check the Yellow Pages under Comic Books. If you don't find anything there, check Magazines, then Books. Be sure to call the store before heading there; comic book stores are often small businesses, and they may not be open at the same hours as most shops, or they may have moved after the phone book was printed.
- Call 1-888-COMIC-BOOK from a touch tone phone. This will connect you to an automated system: type in your zip code, and it will list the closest comic book stores. If there aren't any stores in your area, it will give you information on how to contact dealers that sell comics via mail order.
- Click this link to search through The Master List, an attempt to list all of the comic book stores in the U.S. and Canada.
